South Dallas Cultural Center 1989 : One Sunday afternoon, I was driving around Fair Park in Dallas, taking pictures for an assignment. When I finished, I stopped by the South Dallas Cultural Center to see if anything was going on there. Was there ever! Roy Hargrove was leading a group of current and former students of Dallas' Arts Magnet high school. All have become musical success stories. What a fabulous find that event was! I had just enough film left to capture a few images, and I think I did pretty well!

Jazz Connection - '97-'98 : Briefly, in the late '90s, there was a fabulous jazz club in Dallas named Jazz Connection. Some of the best music I've ever heard was played in that venue.
